I arrived at YYZ T1 yesterday, found the ArriveCan express lanes but unfortunately they were anything but "express". There were two lines of about 20-30 people, with one working e-gate each. It was literally crawling for over 20 minutes, and at one point they started pulling people out of the line and re-directing them towards other kiosks. I think the regular Canadian citizen line, which it looked like also had e-gates, moved a lot faster.
Wow, this is so different than my experience 10 days ago, but I suppose day of the week and time make a big difference, as I flew on a Saturday afternoon that was relatively uncrowded. There were somewhere between 6-8 express terminals, all of which appeared to be working and no lines.
