Someone around here but be able to explain the history of it, I am unsure, but there are two main buildings at FS Astir - Arion and Nafsika, They are very different in aesthetics and style. Then there are also the "Bungalows", they aren't villas because they aren't any bigger than a normal sized room, but they are standalone buildings and down the hill away from the main building. We actually stayed one night in a bungalow and one at Arion just to see the difference between the two, think I preferred the bungalow due to the uniqueness of it, but they were both great.

Amanzoe is a beach resort about 2.5 hours drive from Athens, it has its own thread on this board with plenty of info in it.

I am not in a position to answer your question on the price difference, if you read through this thread I think everyone agrees the FS is a far superior property, but it is also 30 mins south of Athens center so all depends on what you value.

Edit: Sorry Offerendem basically told you everything I was trying to tell you, I typed this up then went away for a bit. Either way lots of great info for you!
And yes offerendem looking at rates now I feel like I got away with one there, I looked back at my emails and it was €330+ for €378/night a/i.
