Just checked out of Marriott Suites. One night stay for a last minute overnight layover through IAD, booked on 34k points.

Asked on chat for a corner high floor room and they gave it to me without hesitation. Got room 1000 which was right in the corner. No notable complaints about the room besides the missing bar of soap but not a big issue. The shower head pressure was somewhat weak though, but the hot water was running very well. Bed was on the firmer side but I got a good night's sleep. The king bed was on the larger side though.

They are now serving buffet breakfast at the restaurant (complimentary for Plat and above) and it's a lot better than what I expected from an airport restaurant. Omelette station, scrambled eggs, "Turkish" Sausage, Breakfast Sausage, Crispy Bacons, French Toast, Pancakes, Oatmeal, various fruits, yogurt, cereal, and bread/pastries.

Airport shuttle to the airport was nice and swift as well, running every 30 minutes.

One major complaint (again, may or may not be a big deal) during my stay was elevator availability. It seems like there was only ONE elevator operating (though the other guest that was on the elevator with us swears that he was on another elevator the other day). Almost caused me to miss my shuttle but yeah.

Overall had a nice stay and would return if another overnight layover at IAD was needed. Would maybe try Westfield instead if the flight wasn't in the morning, and if not enough layover to justify staying in DC.
