I'm looking at booking a basic economy award ticket from HND-LAX for 2024. I see under T&C No. 3:

"Basic Economy tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable in most cases. For Basic Economy, if cancellation charge exceeds the ticket price, eCredit will not be issued....However, Delta still has the Change and Cancel Waiver for flights originating in Asia and Oceania (Australia, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Japan, Guam, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand) and India or Israel, so that customers may change or cancel their flight without incurring a cancellation charge."

I just want to confirm before booking a Delta operated HND-LAX basic economy award ticket that I could cancel penalty free in the future. If so, will the taxes be refunded back to my credit card or will I get it as back as an eCredit?
