Thank you! So (technically) we are basically on the last flight in and first flight out next day, so that should be Ok.
I reached out to them via Live Chat but I'm ticketed on AA stock (it was significantly cheaper), and the rep said they can't extend STPC on a flight sold/marketed by AA. I suppose I can understand that ... though I wonder if this is a hard-rule or a HUCA situation lol.
