There some glitches with the gift register - I have 3 household family members with duplicate profiles. One profile is fully populated, the other is not. The non-household giftees usually have incomplete profiles despite entering the necessary information.
Also, it not possible to edit giftees, you can only delete them and re-add them. This really seems a poor implementation of the 'manage giftees' page (any coders - you can advises why AirNZ might not allow editing?) I needed to delete and add one household giftee as his un-populated duplicate profile kept coming up as the only option on the drop-down for the partner award portal....
Yes, it's a really clunky system. I once made a post about how I tried to remove and add giftees after not having touched them for years due to covid, and was told over the phone that I could only do it on the day of my anniversary and that they would only make exceptions on a case by case basis. I am sure that's not entirely true, but her reasoning was understandable, the system was ripe with abuse of people adding and deleting giftees. I know I myself would do that if I could, although I don't know if this is necessarily the answer. Either way, they implemented changes to make updating them purposefully difficult.
