I appreciate getting the bags first at HEL but would also appreciate doing so at outstations as well.
A few years ago they were totally discontinued at HEL as the loading/unloading priority and assignment to different containers is done based on tag numbers (i.e. barcodes) anyway and the orange manual tag should not matter. I rarely check in a bag these days so might be they've brought those back but you don't get one anyway if you use the self service bag drop. I don't know if they actually make any difference with loading and I don't know if we have anyone here with first-hand experience of the baggage loading procedure.
