Unfortunately -- I didn't make it. UA 918 departed late from IAD, made up time en route, but then got put in one of those LHR arrivals holding patterns we're all too familiar with. It arrived at the gate about 6:20, deplaned and ran, but it wasn't enough. What was maddening was that my colleague who was on the SAS flight said they closed the door and pushed back the jet bridge only for the captain to announce they'd be sitting there for another 45-60 minutes for ATC delays. But there was no talking anyone into reopening the door.

So now I have laid out $535 to fly BA onward to my next destination -- ARN since I have missed the meetings at CPH.
