This will be my final follow-up post: (I'll post some additional photos in a separate post)

*I'm not sure what each room should be stocked with, but there was no Robe or Slippers. There wasn't a bath mat either. I'll address these later.

*For those that like viewing airplanes the rooms on the back side have an excellent panorama view of them on the northeast flight path.

*Bathroom floor to ceiling window shades don't cover the entire window so if someone is sitting on the toilet with the lights on the office workers across the alley has a full view😁

*The previous reviewer indicated that there was no place to hang towels. Well, my room had a dual-hook to hang wet towels. To hang wash cloths if you use them you have to hang them on regular towel bar by the vanity.

*This Hyatt actually reminds me of the Hyatt House west of town. The weird elevator access and floor access are similar, the dark decor feeling.

*I didn't try the Bar or the Restaurant. However, right behind the hotel are two very busy restaurants. One is called Suntory which is Japanese and the other is Angus American steakhouse with a live band at 9pm. Walking around was fine at night, I went to one of my favorite taco places in town "El Vilsito" about a 30 minute walk.

My honest opinion is to expect some hiccups either checking out or checking in. When I was checking out I "tried" to inform the representative that the room did not have a bath mat, bath robe, or bath slippers and that if the room was supposed to come with these items, I don't want to be charged for a missing robe or bath mat. He didn't understand anything I was saying so he put a bar code in front of my face to contact customer service. lol I asked for a receipt to show my balance was zero as I had paid in full when I arrived. He got confused so the other rep assisted. However, neither of them understood anything about the bath robe, slippers or the bath mat and just said sorry as I tried to tell them I didn't need any of those, I just wanted them to know they weren't in my room, as you can request them anyway by dialing "0". I just wanted to know if they automatically stock these items in standard non-suite rooms. I still don't know So, expect not to have any of these.

Anyway, they are all new employees and it's the weekend so the more trained ones probably got the weekend off.

I had booked additional nights there to help complete the Bilt promotion, but I cancelled that reservation and will be staying at a different Hyatt property. The Hyatt Polanco is definitely better for anyone who doesn't need to be at the world's trade center. MetroBus #7 on reforma can get you where you need to go with a transfer.
