From my most recent visit, GB has very friendly staff, but front desk not the most competent. The rooms are genuinely terrible old school and basic rooms are small if you go for one of those. No where near worth €800+/night, should be more like €200 on room basis alone. Roof top bar is nice with great view, and modern outdoor covered cigar lounge area is nice. Ground floor restaurant also nice.

Its still the "known" place to stay in town. But in reality tons of other modern hotels, most with roof top bars with views. Elektra (may only be 4* but rooms are much better), Milos is new and close by, New hotel has nice roof top but rooms a bit too modern design for me. I'm sure there are others with in a short walking distance.
