I have a few potential overnight European trips coming up and was possibly going to fly Aer Lingus.

I have a Cabin Max Metz 20L bag (40x20x25 cm) which seems fine for Easyjet and Ryanair but it seems too big for Aer Lingus, which according to the website on the cheapest fares allows a personal bag (33x20x25 cm) and a larger 10kg checked in bag.

I would rather not check in a bag as I (perhaps wrongly) assume I will have queue to check in at the airport, and I would also prefer to carry my bag with me and not to have to wait for my bag at baggage reclaim.

I know I could pay for a higher fare class which includes a larger carry on bag, or pay for priority boarding/carry on bag. The latter is the cheaper of the options and for my next trip would be 25 Euros return. As I have a few trips coming up I thought rather than paying this each time I would be better putting the money towards a bag that meets the Aer Lingus personal bag size.

The personal bag limit seems quite unusual, and I struggling to find a bag that is exactly at those limits as most of what I can find seems to be either very tiny or around the size of the Cabin Max bag that I already have.

I was just wondering if anyone might have any recommendations as to a bag at the Aer Lingus personal bag dimensions?
