Hotel upgrades are so subjective and impacted by so many different variables. I completely believe elevatorenthusiast legitimately gets these complimentary upgrades. I also don’t think there’s a default upgrade experience for any hotel. We can point to these data points to show that these complimentary upgrades are possible under certain conditions (whether it’s a short stay or whatever).

I have had similar experiences in Bangkok where people told me I would not get suite upgrades at the St. Regis Bangkok and I ended up receiving a multi multi category upgrade to the Caroline Astor Suite on a long stay. No one can claim their experience is typical without many repeat stays at the property. But these stay reports show it is possible.
