Mileage Run Strategy and Mileage Calculation

Greetings to all,

I need 6,426 miles ex YVR to make Elite for 2005, assuming 35,000 miles is the qualifying threshold.

I could take a risk, and do a short MR to get me over 30,000 and hope that the reduced 30,000 will be all I need.

I am planning a last minute dash east YVR <-> YYZ <-> YQB using upgrade coupons all the way. However, I can't get accurate info from AC or AP about how many miles I would get. The answers change each time I call. One itinerary I am looking at is:

AC156 22:45 06:05 + 1 day YYZ and AC8600 09:50 11:19 YQB
returning AC8603 11:50 13:33 YYZ and AC147 15:00 17:16 YVR
Exactly how many miles is this? I would use upgrades to get the 25% COS of bonus.

I realize I am sailing close to the wind for 6,426 miles. Other suggestions welcome, preferably within Canada using certs (system wide or special system wide) for COS bonus.

Best of the season to all...
