US Flights - Additional Security Screening
Do flights to US still require the additional security screening just before Gate 18 at AKL?

Haven't been to (or via) the US for a while now so curious if they still have this or if it's now gone. Not really sure what's the point of this too, as they would've checked everything at AvSec before one would've thought?
