When I looked at the AI (all-inclusive) rate (based upon 2 persons), the Grand Water Villa w/Pool was $2018/night, while the base HH Rate was $1472/night. Here's how I broke it down for our six day stay:
- Total Stay (AI) = 12,108 (2018*6)
- Total Stay (HH) = 8,832 (1472*6)
Difference is 12,108 - 8,832 = $3,276. Considering that the Seaplane (675*2) is included in the AI rate but not the HH Rate, the effective difference becomes 1,926 (3276-1350). With our six night stay, the rate differential is $321 per day, which is $161/day per person.
I guess for some, $161/day per person might be right on the line of what makes a good deal or not, but from what I've seen/heard, can probably easily outspend 161/day per person on lunch/dinner/drinks at this location (not considering breakfast, due to Diamond HH).
I've received the details from the resort as to what is included/not included, I'm happy to say that it's pretty much a full board, like you might see at other places. A couple of the restaurants aren't included, but they give you a 145$ meal credit at these places if you are on AI. At the other places that are included, which is most, they do mention that some might have supplements for this AI rate for certain entrees, which was previously pointed out in an earlier reply. As for the drinks, everything that we'd drink is already on the list, only exception is if we decide we want a special bottle of wine or something like that.
I like the fact that I will not fret about what the meals/drinks cost, they are behind you at that point, any supplements will seem like pocket change.
Now, the real question is, since the seaplane is included, are they going to be cheap on your HH points earned?
