I had a UA BP issue with EW pre-COVID out of HAM. At the transit desk to enter 2B without a UA BP was an issue but they accepted an itin listing showing the UA flight. I was then able to get a UA BP, believe there was an UA desk not soon afterwards but the UC would have worked also. I think I was have trouble also with the UA but assuming you can get the app going you should then be able to get a mobile app BP.
