Oh Wise UA Flyertalkers

Mrs. Gpicur and I have upcoming (June 14-27) travel to Israel on UA and I am looking for "Fresh" information and experiences concerning long haul upgrades to Polaris. We are traveling on 2 separate PNRs and are both UA MP Gold members; As I might have a shot at Platinum, I booked into P class and Mrs. GPicur is booked into UA Premium Plus "O" Class to TLV and "A" Class from TLV. I immediately used miles + Co-Pay to waitlist an upgrade for Mrs. Gpicur to Polaris Class. Before flaming me, of course Mrs. Gpicur will be sitting in Polaris no matter what, my question to you wise Flyertalkers is, what are our chances of upgrading from "O" or "A" class with UA miles as UA MP Gold members and, if successful, when might we clear the waitlist ?? Also, I understand that "PZ" class must become available before our wait list clears. If this elusive "PZ" class becomes available on the TO TLV or FROM TLV segments, will we automatically be upgraded or will UA first offer it to other passengers for cash first ? Lastly, Mrs. Gpicur already cleared into F on the 1st (CVG-IAD) and 4th Segments (EWR-CVG) of her itinerary. If she does not clear into Polaris on either of the international segments (to TLV/from TLV) do we lose all of the miles used to upgrade ? Thanks in advance for your keen insights
