From the other website:
There is also wording relating to Sunwing being brought into in the same bargaining unit, with an application for single-employer status by June 2025.

Although the agreement wasn't all just wage increase, all the major issues seem to have been addressed in a reasonable manner. I would say the overall effect is a 38% increase in pilot compensation over the 4 year term compared with the previous agreement. This is based on taking the last full year publicly available financials, the overall employee compensation was $999m on total costs of $4,580m. It has been quoted in various WestJet investor roadshows in the past that pilot compensation is 6% of total costs or 25% of employee compensation. This would indicate total pilot compensation in the range of $250m to $275m. With this new agreement costing $100m extra per year, that would point to around 38% increase in compensation, with inflation over the same period at 15% total, the real gain is about 20%.
