I received 606 SQDs for a roundtrip YYZ-MEX when I was expecting over 900...the online submission form gave me the error message too. I ended up spending over 30 mins on the phone with Aeroplan while the agent put the case through. She said it'd be 3-4 weeks to resolve (let's see...).
Have a look at the wiki for this thread, particularly the last paragraph in red (you may need to click "show more"). Could save you 30 minutes next time.
