Yeah, this seems very much like updating the system to end a day at 3-4 am OR giving agents a way to manually allow people in (and that can be just letting them in, adding name/boarding time to a spreadsheet to track the issue, etc until IT fixes the issue) is the best path forward here.
Completely understand that Amex doesn't want someone coming in before an overnight connection in the city, but it seems this is just enough of an edge case that they should have a fix of some sort, but not enough that it will cause a giant influx of additional pax to the lounge.
