ams flight rotated between -9 and -8. -9 is very good and prob pretty similar to KL. I flew AMS-MEX on it 2021 summer and everything was solid, except for the awkward arrival time into CDMX
AM 788 is 2-2-2 whereas 789 is 1-2-1 with very generous room between seats. Beware of last-minute swaps between 788/789 - happened to me on CDG-MEX last year (to my benefit!). Food and drink is better on AM than on US carriers ex-EU.
