787 is faster, a350 is quieter.
I guess DL was last US carrier to do 9-abreast 777s, and those are gone; I agree 10-abreast on those sucks. But, since AA and UA both do 9-abreast 787s (I believe it was designed for 8-abreast like JL does), I'm not really a fan of those seats either (in terms of width). However, I've yet to encounter an A330 or A350 (or AA, DL, or any other airline) that tried to fit in an extra seat. As such, I prefer Airbus widebodies from a width standpoint. I'm not sure I've ever tried an extra legroom seat on one, but I've never been bothered by normal economy pitch on AA or DL A330s/350s.

Also, I think Delta still flies from 763s across the Atlantic. Even though these are old, they are well maintained, and quite comfortable in Y.
