EDITED TO ADD: I'm now convinced it's not a coincidence the problems are only with the final swipe. A shrewd longtime FT'er has told me going forward he's bringing $200 cash on his WM Everywhere runs, that way if the final swipe fails he can salvage the transaction by paying the final amount in cash as 3 successful swipes are better than none.
