I really had no plans to do that. But oddly enough, it's a better deal than Singapore air at 350K miles, and NO Availability on Cathay. :-) I think Amex travel is something like $0.01 per point, so they might be 500K - 600K for a business class ticket on EVA.
As far as AMEX Travel... I used them for the first time for a trip next week. Asiana Air to SEA-BKK, then Thai Airways BKK-CAN, HKG-BKK, and EVA BKK to LAX, business every segment. I booked for me and a business associate. AMEX Travel messed up EVERY SINGLE FLIGHT, and it took 12 hours and substantial badgering to get it fixed. Never again.
