I had a 7 year Canadian visa. Went there at least a couple of times with it on my old passport. Is this a new rule?

No clue how new the rule is as I have done this before in the past. Albeit many years ago.

I checked with the Canadian Embassy & they confirmed that the visa will no longer be valid once the visa stamped passport expires.
