But yes, in theory, this is a dumb rule that should have an exception.
If your flight leaves after lounge closure but before midnight (say 11:59pm), you can enter 3 hours prior to the lounge closing. So at 7pm in this example.
If your flight leaves at 12:01am, you can not use the lounge at all. It's a nonsensical discontinuity in the policy.
