15 minutes after the app caught up and I was offered the Hilton Garden Inn hotel - 3 miles from the airport + $20 in meal vouchers :-) I declined and booked myself at the airport Marriott.
This is a GS on a paid C ticket (yes, full-fare C, not discounted business). One would think UA's IT systems (policies) would offer something more 'appropriate'? (note: I am not a hotel snob, I just want the closest hotel).
I wonder what happens if I try to submit my hotel cost for reimbursement?
Now we return to to real-world problems...
I’ve been reimbursed several times after self-booking the IAH Marriott during similar delays (including room and meals), no problem.
