A couple of months ago, I actually got a snail mail sent to me by mistake -- addressed to another AAdvantage member -- that DID offer 2,500 referal bonuses with no flight requirements, but it explicitly stated that it was good only for those receiving the mailing. However, I tried signing up a few of my friends using the code (sorry, I threw it away already) and a month later they ALL received the bonus.
Did anyone else get this mailing?
