Yeah... why wouldn't you get the points back?

They sold you a Blue ticket, not a Blue Basic ticket (which cannot be purchased with points).
The taxes go to the Travel Bank -- whatever you spent goes into it, no more and no less.
I canceled a ticket the other day three hours before departure and got everything back. Not sure what else you are asking here. I would prefer a refund to my credit card but I'm not going to waste my time fighting with JB over $5 and change.
