Update on all this - I was finally able to get booked on a flight out of SFO for tomorrow evening - and then today they cancelled that too! Now I'm on Aer Lingus (which has economy only - we had Premier seats), connecting flight.

It's been a nightmare - so difficult to get hold of anyone at BA, and no idea why this is all happening.

I just hope that Aer Lingus works for us.
