This said, Zürich/Swiss is pretty good at making such connections happen, and the night ban on flights leaving Zürich isn't as strict as in FRA, imho, so they'd wait for a group of 5, especially with kids involved, a bit.

I'd not sweat it out. Swiss does NOT want to pay the hotel bills in Zürich, and will wait for you - unless your incoming flight is massively delayed. 30min arrival delay, and I'd STILL give it a good chance you'll make it, even with 4 kids in tow. They won't close the door right in front of you, as to speak. Good luck, and let us know how it went.

But, mentally, prepare what it would mean if you've to overnight in Zürich. Have some snacks ready to deploy, as restaurants will be closed at that time. And reaching the hotel that LX would put you in might mean VERY late bedtime for everyone in your travel group.

Plan for the worst, expect the best.
