I stopped posting years ago, too. I found all my good hotel posts stayed up and if I had anything negative to say about a hotel it was removed. And there are tons of reviews up from people who have made exactly one post on TA, invariably positive.

Someone asked why people still use it. People use it for the travel forums. They are way way better than the Destination Forums on this site.
I last used to take a look to see if there is something interesting to see or do somewhere but do not trust it for restaurants, airlines or hotels. Seatguru even had incorrect seat maps up for a QF plane I took. I took the time to email them several times and after six months they still had not corrected it. Knew an executive in one of the major hotel chains and I mentioned this one time we had dinner. He gave me a business card which should have been a better contact but still got no reply. They just don't care.
