Solid. Enjoyed the starter (fennel and orange salad) a lot. The main was fine too (though the lamb was a bit too much of a patty for my tastes). Afternoon tea pleasant but perhaps a tad small for a second meal on quite a long flight. Do try the Digby sparkling wine if you haven’t. It’s lovely, but the crew aren’t routinely offering it when asked for ‘champagne’, so I worry it will end up having a low take-up despite being much better than Monopole imo. On the plus side I got a bottle more or less to myself…
Thanks for reporting! I’ll be flying this route on Monday so this is encouraging. On the AUS to LHR route (I’ll make a separate post a bit later), they ran out of the beef filet main by the time they got to me in Row 6, which was a bit of a ... moment. Hope they have more welsh lamb on the return flight 🤔 With that said, the flight attendant kept coming back to offer me more drinks, so much so I had to cut myself off after 3 😆
