Had a particularly sour experience when the property refused to credit elite nights on a corporate arranged stay despite my offer to pay the difference to a points eligible rate if necessary. Property pitched it as a matter of integrity, when frankly it was just a inflexible practice (properties generally have latitude in whether to grant elite night credit) If this was made known to me earlier, I would have happily ponied up the cost of the full stay on a separate travel vote, so I was puzzled as to why they couldn't charge post-fact. Looking forward to the new openings of the JW and Marriott. My experience in both HCMC and Hanoi have been that Bonvoy properties tend to lag the rest of the region in both amenities and value for cost.
