It really is if it ever happens to you.

It happened to me in December MAN-CUN (TUI Not FINNAIR) and I got zero help from the airline or anyone. Fortunately on my return, a helpful manager in MAN allowed me to search for it the lost and found room in Manchester and I found it straight away. I now use airtags in all my cases, and choose hand luggage only where possible.
