Hi - first time post here, though I've found the forum invaluable for research!

My partner and I seem to have had mixed experiences when booking reward flights using the companion voucher.

Last year we travelled in CW long-haul using my Avios and a CV I had earned, and although (as expected) I earned neither Avios nor tier points for the flights, my partner got both as though it was a normal CW booking (earning bronze status in one fell swoop!). However, we've travelled short-haul twice so far on my Avios and CVs this year (I stockpiled them during Covid), once in ET and once in CE, and on neither flight has my partner earned any Avios/tier points.

Was the first flight a fluke/error, or do I need to contact BA to claim the missing Avios/tier points?
