AC is whitelisting access to services (much like they grant access to *.aircanada.com today from wifi even when you don’t pay) so it would be odd for them to whitelist Signal but not say so.

I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet (my flight home last week was not on AC metal…) but I’m curious how sophisticated their whitelisting is - whether it is just via URLs or if they’re using more advanced traffic classification. I suspect the former, which means that there might be some shenanigans you could get up to that allows you to do more than what they’re advertising…
