Please proceed to take the second-stage examination at one of the designated registration places by bringing the originals of documents submitted in the initial examination within six months of receiving this email.
*If you fall under Category D [Sufficient funds and credit], make sure to bring with you the credit card whose information was entered at the time of your application. The credit card will be verified and returned after making a photocopy in the second-stage examination.

Take note of the following when you come to a designated registration place.
・The second-stage examination may take some time to complete.
　Please make sure you arrive at a designated registration place with plenty of time.
・If you meet the registration requirements for Category A [JTTP] or Category D [Sufficient funds and credit], you need to have entered Japan twice or more in the past one-year period at the time of the second-stage examination. (Entry to Japan for the second-stage examination counts towards the requirement.)
・If the submitted photo of your face does not meet the specifications, you need to submit another photo taken according to the specifications at a designated registration place.
・If you meet the registration requirements of Category E [Family], you need to take the second-stage examination together with your spouse or parent who is the principal applicant or after the principal applicant receives his/her registered user (TTP) card.
・If your registration is accepted as a result of the second-stage examination, your registered user (TTP) card will be issued. To receive the card, you need to pay a fee of 2,200 yen per person in revenue stamps.
Revenue stamps are available at post offices, convenience stores, etc. in Japan.
(Note) Revenue stamps may not be available after you pass a security check in an airport. If you plan to take the second-stage examination at the passport control area, it is recommended that you purchase revenue stamps before going through the security check.
