Just a moment to give a heads up about this hotel's misleading promotions.

It promotes an "All Inclusive" rate on the web site including full board and free-flow drinks. On the surface, this looks similar to the all inclusive packages offered at the nearby Le Meridien Khao Lak and the Marriott Merlin Beach. Look at this Facebook promotion for this package:



If you drill into the fine print of this "All Inclusive" package then you discover that the free flow drink is for *one hour* a day in one specific restaurant. The package is quite pricey on top of the room rate and is extremely poor value compared to the nearby Le Meridien and Marriott Merlin Beach that have a choice of restaurants and free flow booze throughout the day from 11am until late night at all the bars. That's what most people would understand to be "All Inclusive". I do point out that the package price is on top of the room rate because I understand the hotels are not exactly the same quality so let's remove slight variations in hotel positioning and pricing of their rooms from the equation.

I've told them that they should change the name of this promo to "Full Board" because that's all it is and designating it "All Inclusive" is highly misleading because it's emphatically not.
