As much as I try to avoid Hyatt places anywhere, as a globalist, I’m not sure if Waikiki is really worth spending more money at the Hyatt regency. Waikiki pools/beaches are far from Hawaii relaxing, and I can forgo the lounge food at the regency for all the good food on Oahu
It’s been quite a while since I stayed at the HR or the HP there. I was a Diamond at the time. For $100 savings I would stay at the HP, no questions. I like Oahu, but I don’t particularly like the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The beach there is… not really impressive. Never bothered with either property’s pool. Food… yes, there are nice options in Waikiki. But to experience Hawaii, I would get a rental car and get outta there.
