It's liberating. I don't worry about lockers, I breeze lightly around the airport shops and lounges, I can cram my case(s) to the full 23/32kg limit with plenty of just-in-case items, I'm never concerned that someone might steal my stuff, I can stay in the lounge until the last minute, I'm not lumbered with heavy coat in winter, and, best of all, I don't have to spend my holiday wearing revolting, lightweight, crease-free, thoroughly downmarket athleisure attire.
You should all try it some time. Leave the cabin bags to the penny-pinching easyJet brigade, and relax as you raise a flute of champagne to your lips.
I am completely with you on this. I luxuriate in with my additional suitcase that contains only shoes and bags while everyone else is rewearing clothes at breakfast.
Freedom is walking around an airport without a trolley bag.
If the bag is delayed (as it was recently) I spend £800 on essentials required in the 24 hours of loss knowing it will all be reimbursed.
