Yesterday I was looking to throw away a basic economy one way ticket to convert from flight credit to trip credit. I found a bunch of them but forgot the step that the travel needs to be BEFORE the flight credit expires and had a $45 one way fare reserved.

Today, the one way basic economy for any date has DOUBLED to $85 for anything that I am looking at, so I might just get a main cabin booking as I can find those for $85 one way.

Did anyone see the same thing, that from yesterday to to today basic economy one way legs have doubled... Wondering if they will go back down in a few days so I can book a basic $45 one way fare as it will be throw away to convert from flight credit to trip credit.

Any strategy tips welcome.
