you breeze around the airport, apart from having to queue at check in to check bags, and queue at baggage claim to collect them? that doesn't sound very efficient to me.
i am not convinced
the only true way is carry on, what you need for your trip is in the bag on your back and nothing more. no chance of bags being lost and surviving for three days with one pair of pants and a t-shirt until you get re-united. changes and cancellations mid trip easily dealt with, and no concerns about where your checked bag may end up.
