This one drives me nuts. I either have to open up multiple screens or jot down the exact credit balance $72.28 or whatever. It's a huge pain and clearly intentional given how easy it would be for them to simplify this process.
Presumably by making it difficult, it makes it more likely that you'll just spend against the balance on the card like a gift card instead of them having to actually give it back to you as cash or to cover the balance on another card.
