Out of interest, what was the typical flight duration prior to the airspace closures?
As an example I've found details of a LHR-NRT itinerary I did in May 2018. The outbound flight (BA5) was scheduled to take 11h 40m and the inbound (BA6) was 12h 35m.
Incidentally on BA5 and BA8 which I flew on recently the Captains both announced pre-departure that due to the lengths of the flights they would each have 4 flight crew members, 2 each Captains and First Officers.
