Finally, something good at SFO that I never saw before. Yesterday on UA871 SFO-TPE preboarding, the GA called for military, handicap, then paused and said
"GS members are welcome to board now. There are three GS members on this flight."

This last sentence stopped the 1K crowd. I was actually not in front of the gate, but was within visible distance, standing by a wall. After the GA said there are three GS, I waived my hand for she to see, and several people in front of me allowed me to walk through.

I hope this procedure becomes standard.
