I've never had a problem asking for a can with Delta but on a flight from LHR- DTW in January this year, the flight was relatively open and was refused to be given a can of Coke Zero, the FA later came back to give me half a can of Diet Coke
Actually now that I think about it, the multiple times I've been refused it was when I asked for Coke Zero. They must not have many catered.
