Speaking of transportation costs, let me share an example from my experience with my logistics partner for the Guangzhou-Singapore route before the pandemic. They charged 5 USD per kg for air transport, offering end-delivery and a guaranteed arrival within 5 working days. Now, if we take my own situation into account, where I have a total mass of 80kg, I could book a round trip in Scoot's Premium Economy class for the same price per mass, which amounts to 400 USD. Hence, it is true that transporting cargo proves to be more profitable for the airline.
