No one seems to now use the chargers. There are a couple of other Teslas in the lot. 16 cents isn’t bad (even though SCs in Vegas can be cheaper, depending on location and time). But the parking fee breaks it completely for me. Yes, I will definitely mention it on the survey, just as I last time mentioned that the chargers were a reason for me to select this property over the competition.
I look forward to a future where AC EVSEs, which require much less electrical infrastructure compared to DC fast chargers, become prevalent enough that measure like charging a high rate for the parking spot become unnecessary. Hopefully sooner rather than later. In the meantime for PHEVs it’s often more trouble than it’s worth given the relative ease of refueling with gasoline.
