One note is that we would be booked as Guest of Honor if we can't hit Globalist in time, so curious whether one property might have a higher chance of upgrade than the other (I know both may be tough given the slightly longer stay... we could also stay at both for a shorter stay at each). From what I've gathered in this thread, HdL has smaller but brighter rooms while PHV has larger, quieter, and typically darker rooms. For breakfast, PHV allows room service hassle free while HdL charges a fee, but otherwise the food itself is a wash.
I don't mind paying more for PHV if it is clearly better, but have heard that some find the rooms dated, and if HdL is truly a better experience then we might as well save the points - but curious if anyone has any thoughts, especially for a honeymoon stay!
I would recommend splitting the stay, and try out both for yourself if you haven't been to Paris; since we value things differently. Your experience and conclusions may be different than what people say on this board.
Personally, I would choose HdL over PHV due to the room size and location of HdL. If HdL have points/cash + points to upgrade to at least a Palais Suite at HdL, I would recommend upgrading (The vaulted ceiling and views are great).
